FFUMC Gets 2 Grand Pianos - What a Generous Feat!

Fullerton First United Methodist Church was indeed in need to upgrade two of our pianos – one in  our Sanctuary and the other in our Choir Room. The thank you note below tells you the story . . .

On behalf of the Piano Fundraising Committee and the Music Program, I would like to thank  each of you for your overwhelming support and generosity during the piano fundraising campaign!  As a church family, you continually impress me by your dedication to improving existing programs and commitment to starting new programs in our church. Hyeyeon, our Organist/Pianist and I are incredibly blessed to be a part of a church that appreciates the relevance and importance of its music program to inspire, to challenge and to help bring the congregation closer to God.    We have raised $37,622 through the "Buy a Key" promotion at $100 each key. Keys were purchased inhonor or in memory of a loved one.  We were able, with the additional gift from an "anonymous donor" to raise this money in a month – what an incredible feat for such a short time!  With your donations we were able to pay off the balance of pianos and purchase new benches, new piano covers, and a humidifier system to keep the piano in the Sanctuary sounding new for years to come. The pianos were delivered on August 7th and “unveiled” in a short concert performed by our Organist/Pianist, Hyeyeon Kim on Sunday, August 17th.  Again, members and friends of FFUMC, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
